Context

We need standardized blank templates for new book projects that:

• Provide consistent starting structure
• Include common front/back matter
• Support metadata configuration
• Allow easy customization
• Maintain separation from test templates

Decision

We will implement a blank template structure:

1. Directory Organization # TODO update with current file structure

   src/templates/blank/

2. Template Types

   • Minimal LaTeX templates with placeholders
   • Standard front/back matter sections
   • Basic chapter structure
   • Default metadata configuration

3. Usage Pattern

   • Templates copied during project initialization
   • Placeholders replaced with project values
   • Structure preserved but content customizable
   • Clear documentation of available options
