Author Entity Pages (Batch 2: ~22 biographers/scholars) — Implementation Plan

For agentic workers: REQUIRED SUB-SKILL: Use superpowers:subagent-driven-development (recommended) or superpowers:executing-plans to implement this plan task-by-task. Steps use checkbox (- [ ]) syntax for tracking.

Goal: Create ~22 entity-person author pages (biographers/scholars of Fuller + adjacent authors), each linked bidirectionally to the work(s) they wrote, reusing the Batch-1 model.

Architecture: Same as Batch 1 — category: topic + entity-person tag, synthesized bio + "Role in Fuller's orbit" + bidirectional ## See Also + ## Sources, registered in the unified fuller-people.md. Authors are extracted from the compiled book topics; each author's sources: points at the raw pointer(s) of the work(s) that attribute them.

Tech Stack: Markdown, grep/sed for extraction, /wiki:lint for verification. No code, no unit tests — a content compile.

Note on TDD: Content task. Each task's verify step is an inspection or the reciprocity/lint check from Batch 1. Commit in sub-batches.

The author → page-slug → work-topic(s) → tag table (validate each at write time against the work topic + its raw pointer):

Dedup — do NOT create (already Batch-1 person pages), but add work→author back-link if missing: Steve Baer (Sunspots, Zome Primer), James T. Baldwin (BuckyWorks).
Fuller-self — no new page: books by Fuller link to the existing wiki/topics/r-buckminster-fuller.md.

Task 1: Validate the author set + resolve each author's source pointer

Files: none written — produces the confirmed author→work→source mapping used by Tasks 2–3.

For any work whose summary does not confirm the tabled author, open the work topic (and its raw/ pointer) and correct the author before writing that page. Drop any that turn out to be Fuller-self or an anthology; the target is ~20–24 distinct authors.

• Step 2: Resolve each author's sources: pointer

For each author, the page sources: is the raw pointer(s) that their work topic already cites. Extract them:

• 2–3 paragraph reworded bio grounded in the work topic + general knowledge (no fabricated biographical detail — if unsure of a fact, omit it; keep to the author's relationship to the work and to Fuller).

• ## Role in Fuller's orbit — biographer / collaborator / explicator / adjacent scholar, grounded.

• Multi-work authors (Hugh Kenner → bucky + geodesic-math; E. J. Applewhite → cosmic-fishing + synergetics; H. S. M. Coxeter → regular-polytopes + subject-of the-man-who-saved-geometry) get ONE page linking all their works.

• ## See Also with bidirectional links (work(s) + ≥1 related person/topic); ## Sources.

• Step 3: Per-author — reciprocal work→author back-link

Add - [[<author-slug>|<Name>]] ([<Name>](<author-slug>.md)) — author of this book to each work topic's ## See Also (create the section before ## Sources if absent). Every author→work link needs the work→author reciprocal.

• Step 4: Special handling as they arise

• Applewhite → synergetics: synergetics.md already has a large "People in the synergetics orbit" bullet from Batch 1 — add Applewhite there (or as a normal bullet) so the link is reciprocated.

• Coxeter: link coxeter ↔ regular-polytopes and ↔ the-man-who-saved-geometry (which is about him); add reciprocals in both. Also cross-link Coxeter ↔ alicia-boole-stott (Batch-1 collaborator) bidirectionally.

• Trevor Blake / David Kruschke / Robert Snyder: their works are raw/articles/raw/repos — use whichever pointer the topic cites.

• Siobhan Roberts + Coxeter both touch the-man-who-saved-geometry: Roberts = author, Coxeter = subject; both get a back-link there with distinct wording.

• Step 5: Commit the sub-batch (~7 authors)

• Step 6: Dedup + Fuller-self touch-ups

• For Steve Baer and James T. Baldwin (existing pages): ensure their authored works (sunspots, zome-primer, buckyworks) each carry a work→author back-link to the existing page (Batch 1 already added several — verify, add any missing).

• Fuller-self: for Fuller-authored book topics that lack a link to r-buckminster-fuller.md, add a light See Also to it and the reciprocal. Do not rebuild that page. (Keep this minimal — only where it strengthens navigation.)

Insert each new author as - [Name](../topics/<author-slug>.md) in correct alphabetical position among the existing 40 entries.

Update updated: 2026-07-01, verified: 2026-07-01, and change the count (40 → ~62) in both the summary: and the intro blockquote; note that the registry now includes authors as well as referenced figures.

• Step 2: Bump master stats + Recent Changes

In .wiki/_index.md: raise - Articles: 160 compiled wiki articles by the number of author pages created (e.g. 160 → 182 for 22); set Last compiled: 2026-07-01; add:

Run the same reciprocity check used in Batch 1 (adapt the person-slug list to include the new authors): for every See Also link a -> b where b is a local .md, confirm b links back to a. Fix any non-reciprocal link by adding the missing back-link. Skip the fuller-people registry link (it's an index, not a See Also peer).

• Step 3: Run /wiki:lint --local (or the project lint) and confirm: 0 broken links, 0 dangling sources, See Also bidirectional, indexes/counts consistent, entity-person/author tags consistent. Fix and re-check until clean.

• Step 4: Set Last lint + commit fixups

Set Last lint: 2026-07-01 in .wiki/_index.md. Commit any fixups:

Task 7: Re-file the deferred long tail

Files: Modify work/IMPROVEMENTS.md (via the dev-xp_work improve: record flow, on the base branch during pluck housekeeping).

Note for the pluck controller: IMP-12 delivers only the ~22-author tranche. Re-file the remainder so it isn't lost when IMP-12 is yanked.

• Step 1: Record the remaining author scope as an improve: item (on main): author pages for the long tail — anthology/multi-editor works and their editors, article (raw/articles) authors, and authors of uncompiled raw pointers not covered by this batch. Reuse the same entity-person model and fuller-people.md registry.

• Step 2: Commit (handled by the record flow: xp_work: record IMP-N).

Verification checklist (whole plan)

• ~20–24 author entity-person pages, each seeded/synthesized (not verbatim), with ## Role in Fuller's orbit.
• Multi-work authors (Kenner, Applewhite, Coxeter) each have ONE page linking all their corpus works.
• Fuller-self handled by linking to existing r-buckminster-fuller.md (no new page); Baer/Baldwin dedup respected with back-links present.
• Bidirectional author↔work and author↔person links; 0 broken links; sources resolve.
• Unified fuller-people.md registry updated (~62 people); indexes + master count (+~22) + log updated.
• /wiki:lint --local clean.
• Long-tail author scope re-filed as a follow-up.
