IMP-12 — Author Entity Pages (Batch 2: ~22 major biographers/scholars) — Design

Goal

Extend the established entity-person model to the authors of the corpus's
compiled about-Fuller and adjacent book topics — each author a person page with
a bio, a "Role in Fuller's orbit" section, and bidirectional links to the
work(s) they wrote — making authorship a navigable axis of the wiki.

Context

• Reuses the Batch-1 model verbatim (docs/superpowers/specs/2026-07-01-person-entity-pages-design.md):
  category: topic + entity-person tag, seeded/synthesized bio, ## Role in Fuller's orbit, bidirectional ## See Also, ## Sources, registered in
  wiki/references/fuller-people.md.
• No structured author: field exists (verified: 0 author/creator fields in
  raw/repos). Authors are named only in the book topics' summaries/prose, so
  extraction is interpretive and per-work.
• The compiled corpus has ~92 non-person book/topic articles → ~40–60 distinct
  authors after dedup. This batch takes the bounded, high-value tranche of ~22
  single-author about-Fuller/adjacent biographers and scholars; the long tail
  defers.

Architecture

Same as Batch 1. Only who differs (authors, mined from book-topic summaries),
plus three case-handlers: multi-work authors, the Fuller-self case, and dedup
against existing person pages.

Components

1. Author→work set (this batch)

The plan enumerates the exact set by reading each compiled book topic; the
confirmed seed (~22, each sourced to its book's raw/repos/raw/articles
pointer) is:

The plan validates each author at extraction time against the book topic
(and its source pointer), corrects any misattribution, and may add or drop one
or two to land ~22 (e.g. confirming the American Dreamer / Beyond the Cube
authors). Target: ~20–24 pages.

2. Special cases

• Multi-work authors (Kenner: Bucky + Geodesic Math; Applewhite:
  Cosmic Fishing + Synergetics; Coxeter: Regular Polytopes + subject of
  The Man Who Saved Geometry) → one page linking all their corpus works.
• Fuller-self: books by Fuller map to the existing wiki/topics/r-buckminster-fuller.md
  — no new page. Where a Fuller-authored book topic lacks a link to it, add a
  light See Also to r-buckminster-fuller (and the reciprocal). Do not rebuild
  that page.
• Dedup: skip anyone already a person page from Batch 1 (e.g. Steve Baer →
  Sunspots/Zome Primer; James T. Baldwin → BuckyWorks). If the work lacks a
  work→author back-link to the existing page, add it.
• Authorship tag: about-buckminster-fuller for biographers/scholars of
  Fuller; fuller-adjacent for adjacent-field authors (Coxeter, Critchlow,
  Kruschke, Stevens). Plus entity-person.

3. Bidirectional links + registry

• Author→work links in the person page ## See Also; reciprocal work→author
  back-link in each book topic's ## See Also.
• Add the ~22 authors to the same wiki/references/fuller-people.md registry
  (unified "People in Fuller's Orbit" — authors + collaborators + influences),
  keeping the list alphabetical; update its count and dates.
• Update wiki/topics/_index.md, master .wiki/_index.md article count
  (+~22 → ~182) and Recent Changes, and log.md.

4. Verify

/wiki:lint --local-equivalent checks: 0 broken links, See Also bidirectional
(author↔work, author↔person), sources resolve, no orphans, counts consistent.

Deferred (later batches, re-filed in housekeeping)

• Anthology/multi-editor works and their editors.
• Article authors (raw/articles) and authors of uncompiled raw pointers.
• The long tail of authors beyond this ~22 tranche.

Testing / verification

Content task, no unit tests. Success = ~20–24 author pages (bio + role +
bidirectional work links, dedup + Fuller-self handled), unified fuller-people.md
registry + indexes updated, lint-clean.
