IMP-13 — Organization Entity Pages (~11 institutions) — Design

Status: Approved 2026-07-01
Source item: IMP-13 (work/IMPROVEMENTS.md) — the organizational half of the entity effort (people done in IMP-8/9 + IMP-12).
Branch: pluck/imp-13-organization-entity-pages

Goal

Introduce a new entity-organization type: pages for the institutions that
recur across the corpus, mirroring the person-entity model, so organizations
become navigable nodes alongside the 61-person layer.

Context

Architecture

Organization pages are category: topic articles tagged entity-organization,
registered in a new wiki/references/fuller-organizations.md (a reference
article parallel to fuller-people.md, cross-linked to it). Bidirectional links
tie each org to the works and people it is associated with.

Components

1. The organization set (this batch)

Organization page slug corpus tie
Southern Illinois University southern-illinois-university Fuller's academic base (1959–70s); SIU Press published many Fuller works
Buckminster Fuller Institute buckminster-fuller-institute Fuller's legacy organization; the Fuller Challenge
Black Mountain College black-mountain-college Fuller taught there; tensegrity's birthplace (Snelson, Asawa; Díaz's Experimenters)
Whole Earth / Portola Institute whole-earth-portola-institute Stewart Brand's Whole Earth Catalog; dome-and-tools counterculture
Fuller & Sadao fuller-and-sadao Fuller's architecture firm with Shoji Sadao; the Montreal Biosphere
Drop City drop-city 1960s dome commune (Clark Richert, Steve Baer)
Zomeworks zomeworks Steve Baer's passive-solar company; origin of the zome
World Game Institute world-game-institute Medard Gabel; the World Game program
Cosanti Foundation / Arcosanti cosanti-foundation Paolo Soleri's arcology institute
Pacific Domes pacific-domes Domebook publisher; the dome-manual lineage the Dome Cookbook answers
Marta Herford marta-herford German museum behind the We Are All Astronauts exhibition/catalog

Target: ~10–12 pages (validate each against its corpus mentions at write
time; drop or merge any that prove too thin, e.g. Marta Herford or Pacific Domes,
and note it).

2. Page model

Frontmatter: title, category: topic, created/updated/verified: 2026-07-01,
confidence, volatility: cold, aliases, summary, and tags =
entity-organization + an org-type tag (university, museum, commune,
design-firm, nonprofit, company, …) + about-buckminster-fuller or
fuller-adjacent.

Body: # <Org> + one-line identity blockquote; a short description of the
organization; ## Role in Fuller's world (what it did and its Fuller
connection, grounded in the corpus); ## See Also (bidirectional to associated
works + people); ## Sources.

Sources handling: prefer a resolvable sources: → the raw pointer of a
corpus work strongly tied to the org (e.g. Marta Herford → we-are-all-astronauts;
World Game Institute → 50-years-of-the-design-science-revolution; Fuller &
Sadao → montreal-biosphere; Drop City → an appropriate raw article). Where no
single work anchors the org (e.g. SIU, Black Mountain College), use
compiled-from: conversation (satisfies the missing-sources lint rule).

Each org page links to its associated works and people; every org→X link gets
its X→org reciprocal. Known pairs to wire:

4. Registry + indexes

5. Verify

/wiki:lint --local-equivalent: 0 broken links, See Also bidirectional
(org↔work, org↔person), sources resolve or compiled-from: conversation, no
orphans, indexes/counts consistent, entity-organization tag consistent.

Deferred (later batch, re-filed in housekeeping)

Publishers-only organizations (Garland, MIT Press, Princeton Architectural),
one-mention institutions, and any org needing fresh research beyond this ~11.

Testing / verification

Content task, no unit tests. Success = ~10–12 entity-organization pages
(description + role + bidirectional links), new fuller-organizations.md
registry cross-linked to fuller-people.md, indexes consistent, lint-clean.
