IMP-8 + IMP-9 — Person Entity Pages (Batch 1: the 41 Zotero People) — Design
Status: Approved 2026-07-01
Source items: IMP-8 (author bios) + IMP-9 (referenced people/orgs) — plucked together; this is Batch 1 of a larger, decomposed effort.
Branch: pluck/imp-8-9-people-and-org-pages
Goal
Turn the 41 figures in the Buckyverse Zotero People collection into proper
compiled person pages — a synthesized biography, their role in Fuller's
orbit, and bidirectional links to the works they authored or appear in —
establishing a reusable entity model that later batches (more authors,
organizations) extend.
Context
- The wiki taxonomy allows only
category: concept|topic|reference
(perwiki-structure.md). A person bio is a subject article →topicis
the only lint-valid home; a distinguishingentity-persontag makes people
queryable as a distinct entity type. - Seed material already exists: each of the 41 People has a
raw/articles/2026-06-30-<slug>.mdentry (a Wikipedia summary + page text,
zotero_collections: [People]), indexed bywiki/references/fuller-people.md. - There is no structured
author:field in the corpus, so authors-at-large
and organizations are out of scope for this batch (deferred; they need name
extraction / fresh research / their ownentity-organizationmodel).
Architecture
Person pages are category: topic wiki articles seeded from each person's raw
entry and woven into the corpus by bidirectional links to the works where they
appear. fuller-people.md becomes the people registry pointing at the new
pages — mirroring how book topic articles pair with the fuller-books-*
reference lists.
Components
1. Person page — .wiki/wiki/topics/<person-slug>.md (one per person)
Frontmatter:
title, category: topicsources:→../../raw/articles/2026-06-30-<slug>.mdcreated/updated/verified: 2026-07-01confidence(medium default; high when the raw bio is solid),
volatility: cold,compiled-from: sourcesaliases(name variants),summary(one line)tags:—entity-person(the entity marker) + the authorship tag
(buckminster-fullerif they authored works in the corpus /
about-buckminster-fullerif a biographer-of /fuller-adjacentotherwise) +
1–3 topic tags (e.g.general-semantics,four-dimensional-geometry).
Body:
# <Name>+ a one-line blockquote identity.- A short synthesized biography grounded in the raw Wikipedia entry —
reworded, not copied verbatim; 2–4 short paragraphs. ## Role in Fuller's orbit— their actual connection (collaborator /
influence / student / contemporary / correspondent), grounded in the source.## See Also— bidirectional links (see component 2).## Sources— the raw entry.
2. Work↔person linking
For each person, search the corpus (raw/repos/*, raw/articles/*,
wiki/topics/*) for where they demonstrably appear or are authored-by. Then:
- Add person→work links in the person page's
## See Also. - Add the reciprocal work→person back-link in each matched work's
## See Also. - No-match handling (chosen): if no corpus work clearly references a person,
still write the bio + role, link to at least one related person/topic for
graph connectivity, and add a one-line note that no corpus work currently links
them. Never invent a work connection.
3. People registry — .wiki/wiki/references/fuller-people.md
Update each of the 41 list entries so it links to the new person page (in
addition to, or instead of, the raw entry), turning the list into the navigable
people index. Refresh its updated:/verified: and summary count.
4. Indexes + provenance
- Add the 41 pages to
wiki/topics/_index.md. - Bump master
.wiki/_index.md: article count +41 (120 → 161), set
Last compiled, add a Recent Changes bullet. - Append
log.md: a compile line naming the batch. - The
entity-persontag enters the tag vocabulary (note it in the compile log).
5. Verify
/wiki:lint --local → 0 broken links, 0 dangling sources, See Also bidirectional,
no orphans, indexes/counts consistent.
The 41 people (from fuller-people.md)
The authoritative list is the current ## People section of
wiki/references/fuller-people.md (read it at execution time; it links each
person to their raw/articles/2026-06-30-<slug>.md). Examples: Alfred Korzybski,
Alicia Boole Stott, Anton Wilhelm Amo, Charles Howard Hinton, Clark Richert,
David W. Orr, Edwin Schlossberg, George W. Hart, Hideo Sasaki, … (41 total).
Deliberately deferred (IMP-8/IMP-9 continue as later plucks)
- Authors-at-large not among the 41 (need name extraction + research).
- Organizations — no seed collection yet; same page shape with an
entity-organizationtag, its own batch. - Exhaustive per-person mention sweeps beyond clear corpus matches.
These are re-filed as follow-up items in housekeeping so IMP-8/IMP-9's remaining
scope is tracked.
Scope guard
41 pages is sizable. Execution proceeds in sub-batches with log() progress; if
per-person work-linking proves heavy, checkpoint and continue — the target is all
41 in this batch.
Testing / verification
Content task, no unit tests. Success = 41 person pages exist (seeded +
synthesized, not copy-paste), bidirectionally linked where corpus matches exist,
fuller-people.md registry updated, indexes consistent, /wiki:lint clean.
