Person Entity Pages — Batch 3: The Long Tail of Authors
IMP: IMP-14
Date: 2026-07-30
Prior specs: IMP-8/9 (2026-07-01-person-entity-pages-design.md), IMP-12 (2026-07-01-author-entity-pages-design.md), IMP-16 (2026-07-01-referenced-people-relationship-map-design.md), IMP-17/18/19
Summary
Create ~35 person entity pages for uncovered authors, editors, and anthology co-contributors identified through a gap analysis of the three categories deferred from Batch 2: anthology/multi-editor works, raw/articles bylines, and uncompiled raw/repos pointers. Extend the relationship vocabulary with co-contributor. Update the fuller-people.md registry and maintain bidirectional links.
Scope
Inclusion criteria
Two tiers of people, selected by gap analysis against the 201-entry fuller-people.md registry:
- Tier 1 (~20 people): Fuller scholars, editors, filmmakers, and practitioners who wrote about Fuller or worked with Fuller-related material. Relationship types from the existing 9-value vocabulary (
chronicler,influenced-by-fuller,contemporary). - Tier 2 (~15 people): Notable intellectuals who co-contributed to anthologies alongside Fuller, primarily the contributors to Gyorgy Kepes's Structure in Art and in Science (1965). Relationship type:
co-contributor(new).
Exclusions
- Generic anthology co-essayists with no direct Fuller connection (the ~20 What I Have Learned fellows: Eisenhower, Niebuhr, Hoffer, Paton, etc.)
- NC State School of Design faculty named only in acknowledgments
- Article "authors" that are institutional (Wikipedia, museum pages)
- People already in the registry (201 entries as of 2026-07-30)

Note on existing work-topic pages
Robert Pickus (buckminster-fuller-and-robert-pickus.md) and Noel B. Murphy (bucky-a-fuller-future.md) have existing topic pages about their works (the essay-review and the film), not entity-person pages about the people themselves. They are listed in Tier 1 (#13, #14) and will get new entity-person pages created. Their existing work-topic pages become sources for the new person pages and receive bidirectional See Also links.
Entity-Person Page Template
Reuse the established model from IMP-8/9/12/16-19.

# <Full Name>
> <Brief identity line: role, affiliation, dates if known>
<Synthesized bio — scaled to connection depth. Tier 1 gets fuller treatment;
Tier 2 focuses on the person's field and the anthology connection.>
## Role in Fuller's orbit
<How this person connects to Fuller's world — their contribution, their work's
relationship to Fuller's ideas, or the anthology context.>

Content scaling
- Tier 1 (chronicler, influenced-by-fuller, contemporary): Full bio synthesized from source context + web research. "Role in Fuller's orbit" section describes the specific contribution or connection.
- Tier 2 (co-contributor): Brief bio focused on the person's primary field and significance. "Role in Fuller's orbit" describes the anthology context and any thematic resonance with Fuller's work in the same volume.
Relationship Vocabulary Extension
Add co-contributor as the 10th value in the controlled vocabulary:
| Value | Meaning | Existing/New |
|---|---|---|
| collaborator | Worked directly with Fuller | existing |
| influence-on-fuller | Influenced Fuller's thinking | existing |
| influenced-by-fuller | Influenced by Fuller's work | existing |
| friend | Personal friend | existing |
| family | Family member | existing |
| contemporary | Peer in the same intellectual milieu | existing |
| rival-critic | Critic or intellectual rival | existing |
| forebear | Historical predecessor | existing |
| chronicler | Wrote about, documented, or filmed Fuller | existing |
| co-contributor | Appeared alongside Fuller in a published anthology | new |
The tag format follows the existing pattern: relationship-co-contributor.
Registry Updates (fuller-people.md)
- Add all ~35 new entries in alphabetical order within the existing bullet list
- Format:
- [Name](../topics/<slug>.md) -- <relationship> - Backfill Robert Pickus and Noel B. Murphy (existing topic pages)
- Fix the count discrepancy in the header summary (currently says "202 people" with 201 entries) — update to the accurate final count
- Update the
