Collection Registry Schema

The structured schema behind the Collection Registry — record ID format, record types, core metadata fields, and status values used to describe each holding.

Record ID format

BV-<TYPE>-<YYYY>-<####>

For books, YYYY and sequence are assigned from purchase date order.

Examples:

Notes

• Use source_ref for receipt numbers, order IDs, archive IDs, or publication citations.
• Use cost for the purchase total or acquisition amount, when known.
• Use media_refs for local file paths to receipts, images, or scans.
• nomenclature_term is the controlled term; nomenclature_uri is optional but preferred.
