Allow reader to highlight content and mark as needing attention
Id: TODO-1
Date: 2026-02-06
Description: Add a feature allowing the reader to highlight a selection of content in the book viewer and mark it as needing attention (e.g. for scanno fixes or other issues). This creates a workflow where readers can flag problematic text for review without leaving the reading context. Consider: selection capture, persistence (where to store flagged spans), UI for viewing/submitting flagged items, and integration with scanno review or editorial workflows.
Migrate every book listed in this project
Id: TODO-2
Date: 2026-02-05
Description: Migrate each book that is listed or designated for this project into the buckyverse2 hosting layout. Identify the canonical book list (e.g. library catalog, buckyverse2/priv/books inventory, or repo book directories), then for each book ensure manuscript source is present under buckyverse2/priv/books/<book_slug> per the add-book-to-buckyverse skill (manuscript.tex, meta.yaml, config.yaml, content/, styles/, assets/). Track progress per book until all are migrated.
Legacy Wiki.js DB push to new prod database for instant rollback
Id: TODO-3
Date: 2026-02-14
Description: Legacy Wiki.js ops note: when pushing database changes back to prod (e.g. via dev/wikijs/scripts/push-to-prod.sh), write to a new database instead of overwriting the production database. Then point the prod Wiki.js system at the new database. If anything goes wrong, rollback is instant by pointing back at the previous database. Requires: creating/restoring into a new DB (or new Postgres database name), updating prod Wiki.js config to use it, and optionally cleaning up old DBs later.
Legacy Wiki.js: incremental page tree updates (avoid full rebuild)
Id: TODO-4
Date: 2026-02-14
Description: Legacy Wiki.js note: the app should not re-render the entire page tree on every page change. Buckyverse has 40K+ pages, which kills performance when syncing cards in the Synergetics Dictionary (GraphQL create/update triggers a full tree rebuild per card). Upstream PR for review: feat(pages): incremental page tree updates — introduces per-action (create/update/delete) tree maintenance instead of full rebuilds. Track/review that PR; consider testing a Wiki.js build with the patch or lobbying for merge and release.
Physical metal models of geometric solids (A & B Modules, Mites) with magnets
Id: TODO-5
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Durable metal display/exhibition pieces for shows, talks, and the collection.
Description: Have models made of geometric solids — A & B Modules, Mites — fabricated in metal with magnets so they snap together.
Build a visual Synergetics Dictionary
Id: TODO-7
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Make the ~20,900 image-heavy dictionary cards navigable and the concept-graph explorable, rather than linear.
Description: Create a visual version of the Synergetics Dictionary.
Produce an AI podcast demo on tensegrity
Id: TODO-9
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Outreach and engagement — an approachable audio explainer that draws new people to tensegrity and Fuller's ideas.
Description: Create an AI-generated podcast demo on tensegrity.
Fabricate a sculpture of Synergetics Fig. 410.05
Id: TODO-10
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: A landmark, signature object — a memorable installation piece for the project and collection.
Description: Make a physical sculpture of Synergetics Fig. 410.05.
iOS app for the Synergetics ePub3
Id: TODO-12
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Accessible distribution — put Synergetics in people's pockets as a modern, readable mobile edition of a hard-to-find text.
Description: Make an iOS app for the Synergetics ePub3 edition.
Set up email contact
Id: TODO-13
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Enable people to reach the project — a contact channel for inquiries, collaboration, and corrections.
Description: Set up an email contact address/flow for the project.
Synergetics as an Obsidian plugin
Id: TODO-14
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Let people explore the linked Synergetics text and concept-graph inside Obsidian, where they already study.
Description: Convert Synergetics to an Obsidian plugin. Ref: https://docs.obsidian.md/Plugins/Getting+started/Build+a+plugin
Chatbot wired up to talk to Buckyverse
Id: TODO-15
Date: 2026-06-28
Why: Let anyone query the Buckyverse collection conversationally in natural language instead of hunting through pages.
Description: Wire up a chatbot to talk to the Buckyverse instance.
