Environment:

"The only real difference between Universe and environment is me. So I find that the environment is not, of course, things; they're events. We find that the environment is really a pattern of events which occur and impinge on the individual from outside and from inside. Some of them occur very frequently--the infrequents usually in larger magnitude and the frequents of fairly low magnitude. Man is the focus of these impingements and you can't stop any of them. . . . And so, comprehensively, geometrically, outwardly and inwardly, macrocosmically and microcosmically, I find that man is really in the middle."
